It took her a moment to try and decode the words. She knew American English just fine, but the accent kept throwing her off. Swinging to sit up on the branch, she hopped down. It looked like a hop, though she fell slower than a normal person and landed lightly on the ground. She got most of what the girl was trying to say. Needed to be outside and needed to think.
Sofia? Y're for stayin', aren't you? Stayin' here, aye?
"Yes. I am staying." She hadn't posted anything about leaving, because she didn't plan on it. Never had, and now that Xavier said that they were going to be taken care of she felt a little better, though... she wasn't completely in the clear. "It is not fair. We have not done anything but help people." At least they tried to when they were asked to go out into the field. There was an acute lack of training going on now that everyone seemed to be busy with their own things, not that she was going to complain. It gave her more time to try and focus on her homework, and the fact that Julian wasn't really paying much attention to her anymore.
Were they even still dating?
This whole registration thing was so messed up. Maybe he was distancing himself from her because she was about to get deported? Whatever. "There is no reason for us to leave. Are you staying too?"
