Kasey had thought about him a lot. She just hadn't talked to him, which was bad of her, but she didn't know what to say. 'So your government wants me to leave.' She supposed she could have stayed, hidden in the school or somewhere, but that wasn't her. She couldn't do that. She was either going to be around, and really be around, or she'd go home. She couldn't do the former.
But that meant leaving her friend and her boyfriend, and she just didn't know what to do about that. She would have to see them, see him to talk about this...to say goodbye...but she just couldn't yet. It hurt.
She felt like she was going to cry when he was at her door, but she couldn't even say 'hi' before she heard his question. And then she felt her control waver, and she knew she must look like she was about to cry, but she tried to restrain herself. "I...I don't..." She paused and took a step back, letting him into the room. "I don't want to break up with you," she admitted, both in speech and in sign, but it was pretty clear there was a 'but' there. But I'll be so far away. But I don't know when or if I can come back. But but but. But this sucked.
