Alex and Terry After Work
Who: Alex and Terry What: Relaxing After Work When: Thursday Evening Where: Their Place
Coming back from work, Terry threw her keys on the little bowl in the hall and scratched Spike when he came to greet her, wagging his tail and barking happily. Even though they had a few cases, things weren't the same at work; especially now that it was just Alex and her, and Rahne part time. She hoped they would soon get more people in and more cases, or she might die of boredom in the office.
Alex had snuck back home a bit early, lighting a few scented candles and lowering the lights for her so that Terry could just come in and relax. He was on the couch and had her favorite movie in the DvD player ready for her once she was settled.
She took off her high heels as she walked into the living room, having noticed the dim light and the candles. "Are we celebrating something and I forgot?" She asked, walking up to the couch with a smile on her face. She flopped down and kissed him on the lips.
He kissed her back softly and shook his head. "Nothing specific. I just though you'd like to come home and relax since the office is so boring lately and you have to put up with me constantly."
"The office isn't so bad. You on the other hand..." She made a face and then chuckled, obviously just teasing. "Thanks, baby. You're a such a good husband."
"I have a good wife." He winked and cuddled in with her on the couch, starting the movie for them. "The office is just empty. I imagine you miss having other people like I do. I fell pretty out of friends."
Terry rested her head on his chest and wrapped one arm around his waist, snuggling closer to him. "Yeah... I miss Jamie and the rest. They were fun. And it's a miracle I still have Paige, really. Graduating and moving out of the mansion really changed things."
“Maybe we need to get around to a real house warming party to give people an excuse to come out and see us. I think we could probably try harder to see people, couldn't we?" He wrapped his arm around her as she cuddled in, sliding down a bit and leaning back to give her room to lay on his chest like she liked to.
She nodded. "Yeah, we could. And I like the house warming party idea." She smiled, tilting her head back to press a kiss on the underside of his jaw. She felt Spike jumping on the couch and curl next to her legs.
Alex rubbed Spike behind the ears as he smiled down to Terry and her kiss. "I'm sure people would like the excuse to get out and go somewhere." He kissed her forehead softly.
She kissed him back. "And free food. Remember people love free food and drinks." She chuckled.
Alex laughed a bit, playing with his wife's fiery red hair a bit as they cuddled. "If we can't bribe people into coming over then I'll feel pretty bad." He said playfully, nuzzling his nose to Terry's a bit sweetly.
"Me too. It's like I didn't know them anymore. I think I'd lose my faith in humanity." She laughed, smiling up to him when he nuzzled his nose with hers.
"I went by to drop off some school supplies and I didn't really know anyone either." He shrugged a bit, wanting to change their situation but not knowing how to.
"I guess we've taken different paths and now it's like we're too far from them." She said after staying silent for a moment. "But it's not like it's too late for us. It's been like maybe a year or so... Well, at leats for me."
Alex laughed some. "I didn't really spend much time there like you did. I'm sure we can spend some more time with old friends, though. It's not like they're going anywhere and I'm sure they won't suddenly reject us."
"We're awesome people. They'd be crazy if they rejected us." She joked, grinning up at him.
"They definitely would be!" He grinned back down to her, kissing her lips softly and settling back down to give her room to lay across his chest and watch the movie.
After the kiss, she placed her head on his chest again and relaxed in his arms. "Don't wake me up if I fall asleep, please? I'm so comfortable right now. You're such a great pillow... And Spike is a very good space heater." She said, chuckling softly.
He laughed a bit softly and nodded. "I'll let you nap." He played with her hair just a bit more before stopping so she could sleep if she wanted, his hand rubbing her back for a bit before slipping down to her backside and resting still so it didn't bother her.
She purred softly when he played with her hair and then rubbed her back. "Don't stop." She murmured, already feeling her body getting ready to sleep.
Alex kissed Terry's forehead and nodded, giving a little squeeze before moving his hand back up to rub her back as they watched the movie and she fell asleep.
