"Absolutely not, Hank," Sally said with a frown, turning when she heard him bellowing her name. She couldn't imagine why anyone would want to pie her; she was a sweetheart to her students. Except for that whole... trying to one-up John Zander on the homework thing. But that wasn't her fault. It was his.
"I didn't try to pie you when I was a student," she added, glowering --- as best as she was capable of, considering that Sally... didn't look very intimidating on a good day --- at him. "Besides, my forcefield will just go up--" Unintentionally, of course, but it tended to do that when things were thrown at her face "--And someone'll just accuse me of cheating. I know how these things work."
