Barbecue / General milling around on grounds
Fred Fisher, the school's chef, was at the grill by the boathouse and making short work of hot dogs, hamburgers, and veggie burgers. He was wearing an apron that said "Kiss the Cook" and frequently used his powers to deliver a plate to someone several feet away, elastic arm stretching and then recoiling back to tend to the grill again.
There was a big table set up, covered with condiments and snacks of various types----from ketchup to chocolate chip cookies, it was all jumbled high and mixed up and waiting to be foraged through. Half the stuff had been made by Fred, but the rest of it was made up of donations from students, teachers, and residents who had a knack in the kitchen. Aubrey had made some of his famous brownies and a lobster dip for toasted bread that was to die for. MJ had made pasta salad. Even Arla had chipped in-----she made the punch, and it was a wonder she hadn't spiked it.
