Thread: Arla & Remy Who: Arla Lawrence & Remy Lebeau When: Evening, Sunday, May 4, 2008 Where: Outside Xavier's School, front yard-ish What: Arla hasn't talked to Remy in a long while, and she runs into him outside. Who knows what will happen. :O
You know? This celibacy thing was probably a good idea.
It wasn't that Arla had lived a life where she was constantly having sex. It had been a common thing with the Morlocks, with Tommy and with Jack, and then a couple years later, there was Remy. It wasn't that Remy was a bad person----quite the opposite. Arla was the bad person in all of that and she knew it. Their relationship had been poisonous and manipulative, because she couldn't get over her obsession with tracking down Nathaniel Essex and it had driven her crazy. It was a somewhat fair price for the way she'd treated him.
And she'd needed this time away from him to get a grip on herself. Talking to him often brought out the worst in her and she didn't know why. She needed the distance to get herself back. Not that she'd ever be the same after what Sinister had done, after what Accord had done. There was too much damage to ever be normal again----emotional and physical. But she'd stopped thinking about the Marauders, or she tried to, and she put her obsessive tendencies to work in her classes and her proofs ... and in taking care of her fucked-up goldfish.
All that time away from Remy had been good for her, because when she found him outside smoking a cigarette, she didn't feel that same rush of anger and tension. It was like looking at him with fresh eyes. She could feel her right hand start to involuntarily clench up----brain damage, you know----and she folded her arms to hide it was she walked up to stand beside him.
