Thread: Mercury and Avalanche
Who: Cait Kincaid and Dominic Petros
When: Backdated to April 16th, mid-afternoon
Where: An apartment in Greenwich Village, New York
What: Hey, they can only live in a motel for so long.
"So ... basically as long as you don't spontaneously combust, we should be good." The girl leaning against the door frame was short and curvy, with flaming red curls streaked oddly enough with both blue and yellow, and couldn't have looked more like the owner of an art gallery if she'd tried. Which, given that the basically failed attempt at a showroom downstairs was hers, was probably a good thing. She was in her late twenties, and had spent all of their conversations trying to act world-weary and bohemian, but mostly looked like she was trying not to giggle.
Cait nodded, flashing a grateful smile. Given that she'd spent the entire time pretending to be sweet and harmless, sweeping southern drawl, the two of them seemed to be getting along pretty damned well. Made Cait feel like a bit of an idiot, but hey - someone had to be Miss Personality, and experience showed that it sure as fuck wasn't going to be Dominic.
"Don't worry," she said with something that verged on a giggle. "Ain't much of a chance of that. Most I do's bounce light offa walls. M'just glad there're people who aren't total dicks about it. Seriously, it's awesome of you."
The girl grinned, and Cait rolled her eyes at Dominic in the moment when she looked away.
"Don't worry about it. Guys in here don't care about what you look like, so long as you don't steal their stuff."
Cait repressed a grin.
