Thread: Mercury and Avalanche
Who: Dominic Petros and Cait Kincaid
When: Monday, March 24, afternoon
Where: A parkette, somewhere.
What: Well, they've got to live somewhere, don't they?
It was Easter, and Cait had no stove. No stove meant no opportunity to go nuts with randomly colored frostings, and the missed chance had infuriated her every time she passed a window with brightly decorated cakes or sandwiches designed to look like grass and spring and eggs, all that jazz. It also meant no chance for easter egg hunts, but honesty that wasn't so high on Cait's list of things she gave a damn about - it wasn't like she'd have had that if she'd stuck around, anyway. Although the image of Mystique and Pyro and Remora running around looking for little chocolate things was kind of hilarious.
At least it was warming up, and Cait had to admit. After going from gang to gang to Lair, home, back, it was almost a relief to be able to wander around without a curfew, obligations, wind in her hair, what the fuck ever. Outside was lovely, even if most of the people in outside seemed to hate her on principle. Ignoring them, she and Dominic had wandered their way around since noon, ending up at some sort of semi-run-down parklet in the sun.
You didn't really appreciate swings until you didn't have them for almost ten years.
"Seriously, though," she called down, looking backwards towards Dominic as her momentum tipped her upside down ten feet in the air. "We've gotta find somethin' soon. I'm pretty sure that guy at the desk thinks I'm some cheap mutant whore or somethin'. Keeps winkin' at me like I'll offer him a deal."
