Cait blinked, staring in mild confusion at the woman who apparently seemed to think that she was at some kind of dinner party. Although she didn't look particularly beaten up, which at this point in the game probably meant that she had something up her sleeve. She also looked vaguely familiar, violet hair and a kind of overbearing attitude, although at the moment Cait wasn't much for putting two and five together. Who exactly offered assistance in a fight? And why was she coming up to them?
Further thought was cut off when the conversation, or what might have become a conversation, was interrupted with gunfire. Cait swore, taking one bullet in the side before she dropped, flattening out as much as possible. And then began to move, as that brilliant purple shield started sending bullets back. Fortunately, no one was really aiming at the ground. Cait just managed to get clear of the spray, reforming to human atop a pile of rubble, when -
- She could feel herself melting, feel any control of her shape slipping away the way it had when she was a little girl. Unable to do anything to prevent it Mercury liquified, spilling down through the chinks and cracks in the debris until she was simply a puddle surrounded by rocks, unable to do anything but look out through the openings around her.
