Re: Avalanche, Scorpion, Quake, Captain America, etc.
She'd just regained her balance, while Dom started yelling at her about how he didn't hit her, which only left her looking at him a little confused. Sure there were duplications of powers all over the place, but that was usually stuff like telepathy or telekinesis or elemental manipulation. Right so why couldn't someone have the exact same power he did...and if they had the exact same power then why were they fighting in the general vicinity of duplicate power?
These were not things that Carm was thinking about, mainly because he told her to hang on, and she wasn't sure what exactly she was supposed to be hanging onto, as her hand came to smother some other unsuspecting soldier. It was seriously gross when they frothed all over her hand. She wiped it off on a falling foe. She was a sitting duck, but she figured `hang on` was his way of saying stay put? And once she felt the earth beneath her rumble, she did just that, feet firmly planting itself as she readied herself to spring at a moment's notice.
She wasn't sure what Dom was doing, but trusted him enough to know that he knew what he was doing. He'd been fighting a lot longer than she had. Just because she got a lot of practical application didn't mean she was very good at what she did. It was a lot of self-learning after all. She'd discovered quite a few ways to administer her shots, but only in lethal doses. There wasn't much she could do in this situation. She doubted she could get close enough to Daisy to actually sting her, and to start emitting a cloud of poison right here and now would put her own team members at risk. Unlike the government lackeys, the Brotherhood members, at least to her, were not expendable.
Then the earth split and the ground shot up. "...have I ever told you how hot you are when you're all earthshaking?"
