"What? Shut up, you're fine," Vertigo said just before she was tackled, rolling with him across the ground and trying to gain some kind of dominance. Even though he ended up pinning her, she had the barrel of her gun pressed up against his stomach, just daring him to try anything. From a certain angle they might have looked like lovers, breathing heavily and close together on the ground like that.
