What do you do after they crack?
Who: Sarena Alexander OT Elvyran Adelaide & Remy Lebeau
When: A few hours after Here December 15th
Where: A back alley in Queens
What: Sarena wakes up after Carol tossed her off a building and realizes that it's not quite over yet.
Three things saved her life. One, she missed the fire escape. Two, she landed in garbage. Three, Remy made her learn how to fall just in case it ever became necessary. Looked like it became necessary. Waking up, the first sensation was that she was freezing. Immediately followed by an awareness of how numb she was in one side of her body. Carefully, she tried flexing her fingers. Both hands responded, but the left which she had landed on was slower and pain ran up her arm to her shoulder. The fact that she could feel pain said that her neck wasn't broken.
If her neck wasn't broken, that meant she could get up and walk away from this. As soon as she figured out if her legs worked. Trying to pull her knees under her let her know that at least one of legs was injured. But she could move. Moving was a good thing because she was starting to realize that she was still alive and if she was still alive, Carol wasn't finished with her. What the hell had happened to that woman? Granted, Carol had always been a little off. Yet this was so off, too off even for her. It was fucking insane. It took a couple of minutes to get to her feet and she leaned against the wall, certain that while she could walk, there was no way that she was going to get very far. That and there was absolutely no way that she could fight Carol if it came down to that.
It was going to come down to that once Carol realized Sarena was still alive. One thing was certain, once that nutcase realized that the job wasn't finished, she was gonna come back around. Ren was not going to be there. Being upright made her head swim, but she started patting her jacket down with her good hand. Maybe her cell was still intact. Maybe. Well, at least everything wasn't going against her.
The way the world was swimming, she couldn't very well see who she was speed dialing, but it had to be someone at the school, somebody that she would normally contact, after all, it wasn't like she had that many people she would contact.
"You've got to help me," she didn't even wait to hear who it was. "Marvelous tossed me off a building in Queens. She's gonna come back."
