This was not exactly going as planned. In fact, it was going pretty far from what he'd originally thought as the conversation. Exodus was a little less sane than he'd been banking on.
Remy tried to correct his path in the air, twisting like a cat in mid-flight to keep from slamming head first into the ground. He was lucky he'd been training for falling from heights since childhood.
Unfortunately, it was not enough to truly soften his landing. Instead of hitting head first, he did hit the ground shoulder first making an audible thump and skidding backwards with enough force to slam his upper body against the door of the observatory leading inside the school. He hit hard enough to rattle the door on its hinges.
"Putain de merde." He groaned, wincing as his body protested any movement.
