Her kettle finally started to give a low whistle and she turned back to the stove to remove it. She filled two small cloth bags with some tea from a jar and set the down into two mismatched coffee mugs before pouring hot water over them both. Roz set her warm kettle into the dry sink and carried the two mugs to the tiny dining table on the other side of he island where tiny boxes of sugar and powdered milk had already been set out. She hadn't asked JJ if she wanted tea, but made it anyway. She'd drink it if she wanted it and didn't have to if she didn't.
