People in general confused the crap out of Alex. A life of going unnoticed, of not really being a part of any long term social interaction, had left the young man feeling so at a loss when it came to cues and talking with folks. Oh he did try, really hard, to be a part of people's lives...but every time his focus slipped Baker tended to completely fail to realize that others didn't notice him again. Even now as JJ started to walk away, and told him the he should get back to his game, the teleporter had no clue what had happened at all. Nothing about the whole odd conversation made any sense to him, and her attempt to just leave so quickly had Ghost thinking he had somehow screwed up again. Mentally he reviewed everything, not just the last few minutes but also his talk with Tris, and the last time he and JJ hung out too. Sure he had tried being flirty; heck JJ was cool and cute, and so that just was...awesome. Still Alex figured she was way out of his league. At best he found himself hoping that they were friends, but honestly the young man worried that he was an annoyance more often then not...always just popping up and accidentally startling her mid sentence, or getting in the way when JJ was working on important projects. Not sure what to say or do, so confused about what the heck she came here for at all, he sighed once again and just watched as she continued to walk away. Before she left his house though he suddenly emerged from the shadows and was standing right in front of JJ, a look of befuddlement and being genuinely lost clear as day on his face. "Seriously, JJ...what's up? I mean, don't get me wrong, I dig kicking it with you. But this is kinda the first time you've ever just dropped by. And now you're bailing. So if I did something wrong I am totally sorry. Swear I uh...I didn't mean to do..whatever it is that I did."
