That primal need to flee was deeply ingrained in the poor young woman; ever since she first awoke in the new world and found herself being pursued by raiders intent on taking her as a prize. Whether it was Lily herself, or her gift that they were after, even she had never been quite sure. Still with fear gripping her heart the blonde had fled into the wasteland to get away. There in the harsh desert terrain Lisa found herself safe at last. For a few years she lived out there beyond the reach of any town of small settlement too. Her gifts kept her alive and nourished, and within a tiny oasis of her own creation the young gardener survived and thrived in equal measure.
Oh she liked the tiny town of Carter well enough, and had even slowly started to make a few close friends too. Yet after having lived alone for so long, with only her plants to keep her company, Lily was still a bit nervous and shy when it came to interacting with other people. That smile of Tobi's, and the other woman's lack of aggression, helped considerably to smooth the panic that still lingered in Lily's mind. At last, after hearing Tobi compliment the flowers, a hint of a smile finally graced the gardener's lips. "I uh, they are really pretty, and I created a few of em. The rest I just take care of and keep company as well." With a gesture towards the large cactus' the blonde grinned softly; setting down her watering can to run her hand along the nearest one. Oh all those razor sharp needles should have torn into Lisa's hand, but as she pet the cactus the needles themselves seemed to almost bend and avoid even so much as pricking their friend.
"I'm Lisa...but everyone around here just calls me Lily. I am not really supposed to talk to strangers, at least that's what the big bear says. But you seem nice, and...and are very pretty. Plus my friends here don't think you mean me any harm." The mention of her 'friends' may have seemed a tad strange, given the simple fact that Lily was very much alone at the moment. Still to a keen eye it almost appeared like the flowers, cactus, and even the trees all seemed to sway and somehow ever so slightly turn to where Tobi was standing....as if all the flora was now gazing right at the new comer with unseen eyes.
