So the power card had been played successfully. A small gleam was in Draco's eyes as he recognized, even then, that he had authority over the Minister in at least one subject matter. And, furthermore, the Minister had shown that he respected Draco enough to protect what he could for him. His blonde head inclined slowly, and respectfully, as Draco recognized what the Minister was doing for him.
"Thank you, Minister," he returned formally. "Though, forgive me for saying so, but you lot would do well with more Slytherins in charge. There are ways to ask questions without necessarily asking them, Minister." Draco smirked lightly, and decided he would let the Minister reason that statement out. "Training is going well, thus far, actually. It's tough, but I'd rather go through this then the training I would have gone through had I been admitted into his ranks." Draco shivered once, refusing to show any more weakness then that in front of the Minister himself. "I'm perhaps not the best person to ask that question of, actually. I'm a perfectionist, Sir. I work until I can do things in my sleep. I knew fifth year hexes and curses before I even entered Hogwarts, thanks to my father. After my third year, nothing I learned was new. Lucius had other plans for me after my fifth year, or at least, he had had them. They never played out, thankfully. And as much as I like attention, I'm not the one who you'll find complaining about hard work, even when outrightly asked."
