Rodolphus growled as he paced at the entrance to the dungeon, he was waiting for his brother so they could take care of the bitch downstairs.
Rabastan made his way toward the dungeon entrance, well aware that Rodolphus was overeager to kill the Weasley woman. He momentarily contemplated the idea that this woman was someone Hermione considered her "surrogate mother." Then he dismissed the thought, she was the woman who killed his brother's wife. She deserved death.
"Are you ready?"
"Of course. Are you?"
"Yes." He growled throwing the door open before stomping down the stairs, quickly casting a stinging hex at the bound Molly Weasley.
Rabastan rolled his eyes. Rodolphus had NO concept of finesse. "Patience," he growled, stalking into the room.
Molly cried out in pain from the hex.
"Why should I!" He growled louder, turning to face his brother.
"Because." Was his one word answer. He glided almost silently toward the bound woman, "Molly Prewitt Weasley, do you know why you're here?"
A half timid voice answered, "I...I haven't an idea wh-who you are or wh-what you could want."
Rodolphus laughed heartily, "You should know why you murderess bitch."
"I-I've never harmed a soul," the witch tried to sound brave, but nearly a week in blind captivity wore on her sanity.
"Wrong." He growled, "You killed my wife."
"You killed my sister-in-law. You killed one of the most brilliant witches to ever walk this earth. And for that, you have only just begun to pay, you bitch," Rabastan growled and moved away. He didn't want to rush things, but this bitch insinuating that Bellatrix hadn't a soul angered him.
Rodolphus moved closer and pressed his wand into Molly's throat, "You took something from me, took the one woman that took my heart... so I had to do the same to you.
Rabastan wondered only momentarily what his brother meant, then realized what he was playing at.
"Arthur? What did you do to my Arthur, you fiend?" Even with a wand pressed to her throat, Molly was not to be trifled with.
"Killed him... not exactly, we tortured him first... killed that brat of yours..." He scratched his chin, "Rabastan, what was her name?"
"Ginerva? Terrible shame, she might have been useful as a servant...But, that Arthur," he chuckled darkly, "How he did scream for his woman there at the end."
"Oh yes, begging to see his wife at the very end."
Rabastan grinned. She broke almost too easily, sitting there, sniveling and near to wailing.
"I almost feel sympathetic, I'd let her go you know, Rabastan."
"Would you brother? In ashes or quarters?" He grinned above Molly's head. She choked back a sob, knowing her time had come.
"Quarters... make her suffer."
Rabastan rolled his neck, "We could pour muggle acid over her skin, make her watch herself dissolve."
"Ooooh... perfect... they seemed to love muggles anyways."
"But then, how will we leave her body for them to find?"
"Bleed her... I want to spill her blood."
"She did not spill Bellatrix's blood, but, it is your kill, do as you please, brother," Rabastan stepped back from the woman, the body as it was soon to be.
"P-please. M-my boys will need me, they need me to be there. Their father, their sister....Please don't kill me too...Please leave them someone..."
"We left the brothers live. That's good enough."
"That's more than they deserve," Rabastan spit at her feet, "Blood traitors that they are. Consorting with mudbloods, it's disgusting and disgraceful. You taught them that disgusting behaviour."
Molly flinched at the harsh words and went back to whimpering and sobbing, trying to get out of her bindings.
"Kill her, Rabastan." Rabastan glared at Ro. What was this? Giving up his kill?
Rodolphus smirked when he paused, then withdrew a dagger from his belt, "Remember this Rabastan?"
Rabastan glanced at the blade, "I do, brother. A fine gift, if ever there was one."
"Exactly." Rodolphus growled, turning to slit Molly's throat with it.
Molly quivered in her bindings, no clue what they were talking about at this point. "Th-the Minist-Ministry will know about this. Wi-without your precious lord, you are nothing," she stuttered. "
Not after this." Rodolphus stared at the blood that began to pour as he brought the blade across her neck.
Rabastan, quick on his feet, thought to procure some of her blood in a few of his spare vials. "Pure-blood blood is useful, and this way we won't have to bleed ourselves for it," he murmured, sorry there were no screams to savour.
Rodolphus nodded, staring at the blood. After a moment he grabbed a fistful of her hair, using the dagger as almost a saw, "They'll know we're not playing anymore."
Rabastan smiled grimly, this would send a message, "But, perhaps...the dark lord did have one good idea or two," he said, summoning a bit of parchment. "Have a look, I thought we could...Have our own sign, a tribute to Bellatrix."
Rodolphus rolled his neck after he finally separated the head from the body, then turned to face his brother, "What is that?"
"Black rose, her favorite if I'm remembering, with a blood red accent, so it wouldn't get lost against the night sky."
"Bloody hell. You're brilliant, dear brother."
Rabastan took a slight bow, "Of course I am. Put it on her forehead. Be creative" he said, going to clean up the spill around the chair. Rodolphus nodded, starting to do as his brother said. This would be glorious once she was found.
Rabastan quickly cleaned the area, then considered the body, "What to do with this," he said softly.
"We display it. We make sure they know the old ways have returned."
"But where would be best," Rabastan looked over at Rodolphus' handiwork, almost completed.
Rodolphus grinned when the rose was finished, "The Burrow."
"And the head...At the Ministry somehow?"
"Isn't my owl dying?"
"Because you hardly ever remember to feed the wretched thing," Rabastan grimaced.
"You need to bloody remind me to leave something for them! Besides, Bellatrix used to do it."
Rabastan rolled his eyes, "You're a big boy now, you can take care of your own owls."
"Bugger off, prick. We use my owl. His dying gift to us."
"Very well. Where are we depositing it"
"On the Minister's desk itself."
Rabastan looked the head over, "Should we cauterized the wound? Or does it matter?"
"No! Let the blood spill...everywhere."
He nodded and went around his desk and grabbed a scrap of parchment and scratched out two words. "Ha. Ha." Rabastan handed it to Rodolphus with a flourish, "Put this with it."
"In her mouth?"
"Where ever." He grinned slightly. Let the Minister stew on that.
Rodolphus grinned, then stuck it in her mouth.
Rabastan looked at the body. "And who is putting this at the Burrow?"
"We are... she'll be sitting.. .enjoying her garden." He smirked.
Rabastan laughed. "That will be interesting. I wish we could see the reactions."
"True, but it'll be worth it. Shall we?"
"We shall," he said, performing a Levicorpus on the body.
Rodolphus nodded then carried Molly's head upstairs, "Think we can destroy Theodore afterwards?"
"I think carrying a human head will destroy him, but, we could put a time released combustible charm on him so he is destroyed shortly after depositing the head," Rabastan grabs a volume from a shelf and pages through it.
"Brilliant... do that." Rodolphus smirked, getting rather excited.
Rabastan found the charm he was looking for and continued on to the owlery, where he looked for the most bedraggled owl. "Poor bastard," he murmured, "We need a house elf just to look after the owls." He placed the charm on the owl and took it back to Rodolphus.
Rodolphus petted the owl a few times, "Farewell my friend, I will treat my next one better than you." He attached Molly's head, shaking his head as he watched his owl pathetically fly away.
"That stupid thing won't make it," Rabastan murmured.
"It will... he's got just enough left in him."
"Very well, the Burrow then?"
"Let us!"
Rabastan put on dragon hide gloves and gingerly touched the body, "Eugh, disgusting blood traitor." He the apparated toward the Burrow. Rodolphus laughed, apparating with his brother.
Rabastan monitored the wards on the property, "We should leave her here, they've strengthened the wards past what I'm willing to break."
Rodolphus nodded, "Have anything we can use?"
"To leave her here? Why not stand her up with a simple freezing charm?"
"Then do it, you're better at this than me." Rabastan considered the body for a moment, then moved it into an upright position, murmured a freezing charm and stood back to admire his handiwork. The body was leaning toward the shack like house, arms outstretched.
Rodolphus grinned, looking at the body, "You're brilliant!" He drew his wand, then conjured a hat, to hide the empty space that was her head.
Rabastan laughed, "As if that will fool them for long."
"Doesn't matter... shit... is the door opening?" He went wide eyed when he saw Arthur opening the door, "Quick! Hide! I want to see his reaction."
Rabastan cast a disillusionment spell on himself and got behind a tree. "There he is..."Rodolphus followed suit, smirking when he watched Arthur run up to the body, calling out for his 'Mollywobbles.' Arthur's smile turn to a look of horror when the hat blew off, he fell to the ground, crying out for his now dead wife. It was all Rabastan could do to not laugh out loud at the man. Rodolphus clamped down on his cheek as Arthur began to wail, shaking as he held onto Molly's legs. Rabastan touched his brother's shoulder and Apparated them both away, sure that other family members would soon be approaching.
