That was the only thought in Draco's mind. It was such an inconvenient time to have an attack, too. Yet, at the same time, it was so convenient. He Apparated directly back to Diagon Alley, seeking out any of the incoming trainees who weren't immediately paired up.
He frowned almost instantly. No Harry, of course. That meant that they were shy one trainee, and most of the others had been members of the DA way back when, so naturally, they would pair with each other. Draco turned to his mentor, the Minister for Magic himself, with a questioning glance. This gave him the distraction he needed from thinking about Ginny, and what they'd just done. Were they broken up, or just...undecided right now? Could....no. Draco wasn't going to think about his relationships right now. If he was going to be paired with the Minister himself, damn it, Draco was going to let himself shine.
His wand was out in a quick second as Draco turned his attention to the man in charge, waiting for Kingsley to agree that they could pair up.
