Draco paused, even as she shifted and said those words. So it really was Ginny or...having fun with Blaise. Draco flushed suddenly, unable to make the decision right then and there. He almost could say he loved Ginny, but not quite. He liked her, a good deal. But he also wished he hadn't fucked up his one blissful weekend with Blaise.
"Can...is it possible not to decide this right now, Gin?" Draco whispered softly, just saying what came to his mind right away. "I'm...I want to try to take care of you, like you did me the other day when I needed it. And I'd rather not have to make any final decisions when both of our emotions are so strong and high right now." Probably the most logical thing he'd said all night, or so it sounded to Draco. He reached across lightly and brushed his hand through her red hair, hoping she'd go with him on this one. He felt trapped again, but Draco guessed that Ginny could understand that sensation this time.
