a is for awkward - part 2 ( the crew )
Who: Dalis, Quinn, Rashel, Keller and Galen
When: back on 1/2
Where: Dalis' house
What: Continuation of this for my sanity. Awkward family reunion.
Rashel hissed at Quinn, forcing herself to release some of the tension in her shoulders only when she heard her father's voice. Still, after all these years, it was strange to realize that her father was alive. Stranger still that he was a shapeshifter. And stranger still that she had a twin sister.
Though at least this entrance helped to smooth over all those concerns.
Rashel took Dalis' hand -- less because she needed it, more to piss Quinn off by taking help from someone other than him -- and got up, brushing herself off. "Sorry we're late," she muttered, glaring out of the corner of her eye at her soulmate.
This conversation isn't over Quinn shot to Rashel mentally. Because, yes, this counted as a conversation. Their conversations just happened to have a lot of violence. He got to his feet, brushing dust off of his pants.
"Dalis."
"Quinn." There wasn't a lot of kindness behind that name. He knew he shouldn't judge him or anybody, but it was hard to be forgiving when he saw his daughter getting into fights like this. He knew he didn't really have a right to interfere, and he tried not to act too protective, but considering that as far as he could tell Quinn was a raging psychopath...well. He deserved it.
But then he turned to were his other daughter was by her car. "Keller. Galen. Good to see you." He sounded a bit more friendly there. Maybe even respectful, at least to Galen. Old 'shifter habits die hard.
