He sighed again. He'd been going that entirely too much the past twenty-four hours but he couldn't seem to make himself stop.
"Hey," he echoed, shifting so he could drape his arm across her shoulders. "Right now, I am okay. Just tired, you know." So, so damned tired. He'd not slept since his father had deposited the boys in his care. Even last night when he'd laid in the bed upstairs in what passed as the master bedroom in this place with James softly sleeping beside him, he'd done nothing but stare at the ceiling until he'd finally been forced to get up before he managed to wake his girlfriend up inadvertantly.
After a moment of silence, he murmured, "I'm going to take a leave of absense until this is over." There was no way he was going to be able to make the game he was scheduled to officiate the next day. He couldn't leave the boys again for long not for the length of a whole Quidditch game certainly.
Hopefully, the MLE would find his brother and sister in law very soon and they could all start trying to piece their lives back together.
