Lance finally gave in and hauled himself up onto the rock, nudging her with his shoulder so that she would scoot over a bit, giving him room to stretch out beside her. The rock was nice and warm, and so was she, and honestly, he could think of far worse ways to spend an afternoon.
It was nice to get away from being Ronan for a while. One thing that he hated the most was that point in a deep cover op where it got hard for you to remember this wasn't your life, and that you had something waiting for you outside. He never lost himself in an op, but it sometimes got hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, as it were.
