Bobby crossed his arms over his chest and said with greatest reluctance, "they're okay." Josiah was hard pressed not to roll his eyes at him as he knew the kid had his sweet tooth.
"Grab a chair, Bobby, and I'll let you help me measure," Josiah said. He was very grateful when the boy quickly scrambled to do just that. He kept up a steady stream of conversation about the pancakes and any other meanless thing to keep the slowly drooping boys engaged.
