"You are the one for me," Terry confessed softly. He could not imagine wanting to be in this situation with anyone else.
He shifted so that she could more easily reach the plackard of his trousers. Cupping her cheek in his hand, he said with utter sincerity, "this won't be the only time. We'll be together for the rest of our lives." He did not add 'however long that may be'. They both knew that they may not survive the war and there was no need to sully this moment with mention of that knowledge.
Terry helped her push his trousers down off his narrow hips and moved away from her briefly to wiggle the rest of the way out of them.
