Terry rested his cheek on top of her head and closed his eyes. He wasn't surprised that Susan had been the one to come after him. Part of him wished that she hadn't but the majority of him was glad for her company.
"It's getting that late, is it?" he asked even if it wasn't really a question. "I should have known when that crocus closed up a while back." He nodded toward the small clump of just-emerging flowers in the sunniest part of the clearing.
