It had been a terribly long day, and Susan sort of just wanted to curl up on a couch in the Hufflepuff common room and torment Ernie about something trivial. If this had been a normal year, she probably would have. As it stood, though, she was headed outside to find her boyfriend, because she hadn't seen him since lunch, and she usually at least caught a glimpse of him somewhere during the afternoon.
She found him easily, something inside her pulling her in the right direction until she saw him sitting alone at the edge of the forest. Susan didn't speak, merely sat down next to him, slipping her arm through his and letting her head rest on his shoulder.
