"Very well," Will allowed. He certainly wasn't going to force alcohol on his friend and to be honest, he knew that he shouldn't indulge himself. He was already functioning on little sleep and sheer determination.

Agraviane had been drinking his second cup of coffee for the day while strolling along the edge of cliff over a mile down the coast from his house. The cup was long since empty and had become just something to hold onto as he walked and walked. Within the next few weeks, the arrests would start and his assignment would at long last come to an end. The reports and the trial testamony would start, but he would no longer be expected to play the part that had consumed his life almost from the moment he'd left Hogwarts.
He had no bloody clue what he was going to do with himself. For a short, shining time, he'd dreamed of starting a real life with Katie Bell but that was not to be. Miss Bell still haunted his dreams, but each time he woke from those dreams, the bitter sense of loss grew that much stronger.
The appearance of Rosier's elf and his cryptic message had been a welcome, if worrying, distraction. He'd tossed his cup into Cornish Sea and Apparated to Knockturn.
A test of the door proved that it was unlocked so he let himself inside under assumption that he was expected. "Gentlemen, isn't it a bit early for an illegal poker game?" he drawled, cool blue eyes searching through the dimly lit club and finding only Rosier and Pucey.
