"I know you aren't, Auds, but you need to at least pretend to listen to what she says. She's got little enough control here," Will said. He leaned his cheek against Audrey's temple as they both looked at her cousin. Without Tracey's force of personality filling the room, it was achingly apparent how small she was. He could not fathom why she did the things she did but he wished she'd be more cautious.
"I'm going to have a word with John," he said very, very softly. "This will not be happening again." At least not from his family.
