"I know," she said with a broader smile. If there was one thing in this world that she confidant about, it was her wardsmith abilities.
She watched him as absorbed her revelation. There were wheels turning behind his eyes and she wondered how much, if anything, he'd already guessed about her. She was a good liar, good at hiding who and what she was after a lifetime of practice, but she wasn't quite arrogant enough to think that she would have been able to hide everything from someone with his training even during the short time they'd spent in each other's company.
Tracey laughed with more than a little bitterness woven through the sound. "No. Not dangerous at all." That was one of the more blatant lies she'd ever told.
