Though Audrey had know, somewhere in the back of her mind, that this was coming, and that physical intimacy was part of being married, she hadn't really thought about it. And though it had crossed her mind of occasion in the past that maybe she'd like to kiss Will, she'd never pondered the complexities of how much she was going to enjoy it. Of how natural it would feel to melt into his arms as each of them demanded more from the other in a way that was entirely seriously, but still had undertones of the gentle, teasing tenderness of their usual interactions.
She was completely unaware of the giggling girls and of the officiant when she finally pulled her lips from his, just a fraction. Her arms twined around his neck and drew him down so his forehead was pressed against hers as she smiled up at him, a sort of blissful smile on her face. "Maybe we should have done that sooner. We're awfully good at it."
