Maybe it was an inappropriate moment, but Jessica couldn't help the laughter that bubbled up at Oliver's indignation on her behalf. She put her face to his shoulder to calm down, which only took a moment. When she looked up, she leaned in for a long kiss before replying.
"Oliver," she said, forcing herself to be serious, "I seriously doubt she'd kick me, but if she did, then I'll live. As that's the worst she can do, I'm not worried. And you are worth it."
She kissed him again and then lay her head back on his shoulder. "We could tell her if you like."
