She hoped that perhaps she could salvage this meeting. She really liked spending time with him, she didn't want him to run off because she came on too strong, which of course was her habit.
She let out a breath and caught his eye. "Look, you don't need to tell me. I understand you don't return the...it's fine, I don't mind. We can be friends and have a nice time. Do you like ice cream? Lets have ice cream. Sundaes fix everything," she added, nodding her head to convince herself. She knew she wouldn't just STOP liking Charlie, but she was certain she didn't want to lose the easy companion-ability of the man sitting in front of her, even if he did have an adorable smile and his scent clouded her better judgement.
