It was the perfect day, Charlie thought. It was sunny, the birds were singing, and they were going to see his favorite thing in the whole world: dragons.
"I don't believe in agendas," he told her with a wink. "We show up, we check out the dragon, then we celebrate how awesome it is," he explained. "Is that close enough to a schedule for you?" He reached out and gave her shoulder a firm pat.
Talking to Lindsay had turned out to be fairly easy, because of the way she helped him with work. That gave her coworker status, and he could just forget that she was female all together. The minute that he remembered she was of the fairer sex, Charlie would forget who he was, entirely, and turn into a mumbling mess of awkward words and pink cheeks.
