Dean liked the relative quiet of the central courtyard at the castle. At least, relative compared to his home and multitudes of sisters and relative compared to being in the Gryffindor common room or their dormitory. So he tucked his sketchbook under his arm and headed out there, climbing up onto the stone wall and sitting with his back to the stone pillar furthest from the castle. With his long legs stretched out in front of him, he settled his sketchbook on his lap and opened it to a blank page.
What to sketch, what to sketch, Dean thought. He chewed on the corner of his mouth and drummed his pencil against the crisp white page of his sketchbook. He could be cliche and sketch the tree or the courtyard but he'd done it a hundred times. So instead, he was being cliche another way. Dean started sketching his girlfriend.
