Who: Blaise Zabini and Gerard Harper What: Blaise finds himself walking past Myrtle's loo at the wrong time When: Friday afternoon Where: On a stairwell making his way back to the Slytherin Common Room Status: Closed
If Blaise had been paying attention to where he was going then perhaps he'd not have needlessly ruined a pair of shoes. Yet that was neither here nor there now that it had been done. Instead, he had been roaming the halls running the risk management outcomes in arithmancy through his mind. He found the library often too binding a place to study and the common room was often just too loud. Pacing the corridors aloud him to speak out what he needed to commit to memory while avoiding the constant barrage off people who were not studying.
That was the downfall of his shoes. He knew that break was about to start, but he needed to get these into his mind now so he wouldn't have to stress about them over his break or upon his return. As a result he completely forgot that the younger students still found pleasure in harassing Moaning Myrtle just before each holiday. Unbeknownst to him, just before he'd rounded the corner to pass by, two young girls had rushed giggling out of the restroom and took off in the direction opposite from his approach. He'd missed Myrtle's wailing and by the time he realized that the water was still flowing freely it was too late, his shoes, socks and the bottom hem of his robes and pants were soaked.
In a huff, he yelled some obscenities at the annoying ghost and headed for the nearest stairwell that would begin his trek to the dorm. "Get out of my way," he snapped at someone who was standing on the stairs admiring one of the many paintings that hung upon the walls.
