A single eyebrow arched up towards her impressive mane of curly hair as Ron stalked out of the tower and slammed the portrait. Hermione pursed her lips as the Fat Lady squawked about the injustices inflicted upon her person throughout the day, eyes following Ron as he brushed by her without a salutation. She let out a sigh and stowed her wand, a few choice words for the older Weasley boy already forming in her mind. He didn't have to deal with these particular pleasantries and could sit in his apartment and gloat about the success of his prank.
"Well, pleasant as always to see you again, Ronald," she dryly commented, turning on her heel and following the path he had decided on. She let the birthday boy vent, allowing him a chance to get it off his chest. A person would have had to been blind not to notice the blindingly scarlet hue Ron had sported throughout the day, so his sour mood didn't come as too much of a surprise. She would have been cross too if her face had appeared on every available surface from the wand of a mischievous older brother, but luckily she didn't have any siblings - or any magical relatives to speak of for that matter - that would be capable of doing so. She didn't think it wise to point that out at this time.
"Please watch where you're going," she said as he paused to draw a breath, hand snaking out to pull him out of the way of a few passing ghosts. She dropped his arm as soon as they passed and shook her head, shrugging slightly. "I'm sure they'll all be gone in the morning, and if not I'll get up early to see to it myself. I think it's a wonderful thing that you want to do rounds even if the reasoning behind it is questioning at best. I didn't have to come find you, for one, and the exercise will do you some good." She glanced down a hall as they arrived a junction, and after a quick glimpse revealed a copious amount of portraits that had yet to fade, steered him down another.
