Duck waited until Pippa was ready to talk, just put his arm around her shoulders and letting her set the direction for their walk. His hand squeezed her shoulder and he smiled at her reassuringly. When she explained the problem, his mouth twisted slightly and he nodded.
"I noticed," he admitted. Duck had considered saying something, but at the same time he had a feeling that Drew and Paulie needed to air some feelings, even if it did put them at odds for a short time. He stroked Pippa's hair and then cuddled her close. "But I know you know that you can't force people to talk, it'll only make things worse," he kissed her forehead. "And I don't think you have to worry about them being at outs for ages, we've all been friends too long for that to be the case."
"As for Trick... THAT is something your parents will have to handle, so don't fret about that," Duck attempted to be stern, although it didn't really work on him. He was worried about Pippa taking on too many concerns and fretting about her brother, when she was too far away to do anything and her parents were supposed to be the ones to deal with it, was one thing he didn't want her losing sleep over.
"Come, sit down," he stepped away to take off his jacket and spread it on the grass so they could seat. He sat down and got Pippa to sit against his front, his legs on either side of her, and started to give her a shoulder massage. "As for the future... what would you like to do most of all?"
