"In the kitchen!" Megan shouted, immediately heading for the sink to wash her hands. She certainly didn't want to try picking up her wand to do a cleaning spell when her hands were so dusty with flour. Several large lumps of raspberry scones lay on the kitchen counter, waiting to be cut into scone-sized pieces and put into the oven. Meg was pleased with her handiwork.
She was also pleased that Michelle had taken time out of her busy schedule to visit. They really did need to catch up, and because she spent so much time baking (really, it was a dream, but it could also be time-consuming), Megan didn't make it out of Port Isaac very often. "Are you hungry?" she shouted, still at the sink. Michelle was presumably headed in her direction, but it wouldn't hurt to gauge the other girl's hunger ahead of time. She dried her hands on a towel that hung by the ceramic sink and turned to wait for her friend.
