She couldn't get over how tall he'd gotten. She remembered him so much younger, a kid, really, and it was so strange to have him suddenly taller than she was. She stepped aside, gesturing into her apartment, when she realized that she'd been blocking him in at the door.
"It's good to see you too," she agreed, in what was finally a somewhat normal reaction to the situation. And it was good to see him. Dorcas had a reputation for protecting the weak, even when the weak didn't want it. With John, she'd finally felt like she'd made a real connection with someone when she'd taught him to punch.
"So, you're an Auror now?" she lead him deeper into the flat, feeling suddenly awkward again. Should she offer him a drink? Would that seem like she was hitting on him? Dorcas had no idea. "Can I, uh... get you something?"
