Ded & Hes
At one point that afternoon, Ded's mother, Athena, came and found him while everyone was getting ready. He still had to give his wedding present to Hestia, after all. She told him he'd be giving her the present from around a door, with Dedalus on one side and Hestia on the other - as it was bad luck to see the bride before the wedding. He laughed slightly - his mother was indeed a stickler for tradition, but he loved her all the same.
Athena led her son through the castle to where the women were getting ready for the big day, then directed him where he needed to stand so that he wouldn't catch even the tiniest of glimpses of Hestia. He had to admit - while he really wanted to look, he also wanted it to be a surprise, so this was perfect. His mother knocked once on the door, then let herself in, leaving Dedalus standing out there behind the door with his gift in hand, waiting for Hestia to stand on the other side.
