It was only the second evening of Connor being in Boston, and Eddie was already in deeper then she’d thought. That first face to face encounter had been pretty much incredible, and it had only gotten better from there. They’d spent the rest of that first night in her bed, alternating between eating, talking and more world changing sex. He was just so... wonderful. They had a lot in common: from jobs that took up their lives, and close knit families, to a passion for seeing Muggle and Wizarding culture integrated.
Eddie had no idea how something could happen so fast and so deeply between two people who hadn’t seen each other in years. It had been an intense two days. Almost as if their relationship or thing or whatever it was, was growing at an accelerated pace. Connor was an open book. He was completely honest and had genuine integrity, and he was so good natured and sweet. And not to mention funny and smart and passionate and ... damn. She had it so bad, it wasn’t even funny.
They’d done some touring around Boston that day, and Eddie had enjoyed herself thoroughly. He was so relaxed and fun, and she could be herself completely. Not that she was ever not herself with people, but she knew when someone couldn’t handle her. Connor had never made her feel that way. That night, Eddie had decided to take him to a local carnival and fair. It was pretty close to the Institute, and she knew she might run into some of her students there. But it was charming and fun, and she thought he’d enjoy it.
She apparated them to the entrance of the Institute and took a deep breath while her stomach settled. “It’s just a short walk down there.” Eddie pointed with her free hand down the road. Her other hand was currently entwined with Connor’s. “Maybe about a mile?” She guessed. Just outside of the wards that kept the Institute hidden from muggles.
