Pippa Montgomery will be the apple of your eye. (modishly) wrote in afreshrpg, |
Pippa squeezed Dedalus's hand. She was frightened of those prospects, and it was probably a good thing. She knew she should be more cautious and thoughtful about things. That she shouldn't go tilting at windmills without first making sure they aren't real giants. "I understand. We can't go around being scared of our shadows, but we don't have to charge blindly into battle, either." She heaved a sigh as these new thoughts settled over the others. She had a lot to think about, she wasn't sure where to start or what she could do, but she would definitely start to think before acting or thinking.
The negative thoughts that had hounded Pippa since the news of Professor Burbage's death were pushed to the side at the thought of Dedalus and Hestia planning for future children already. They would have two proper aunts in Hestia's sisters, so she wouldn't call herself that. She would, however, love any Diggle offspring like they were her own flesh and blood. "I'm going to spoil them as rotten as possible, you know, but I promise not to purchase any toys that make noise or are annoying in any way." She grinned at her friend. "And you don't have to get all of my favourites," she told him. "Just some."
She smiled up at Dedalus. "I won't," she told him, "and you know you can come to me, yeah? I might not be able to do much, but I can certainly distract you." Laughing, Pippa took his offered arm. It was such an old fashioned move that she briefly wondered why no one did it anymore. "Home, I think." She smiled up at him. "I feel a bit drained, and my mind keep wandering down random paths, and following weird trains of thought." She paused for a moment. "More so than usual." They walked for a bit before she continued. "It's helped, though. All of it. I really hope you enjoy the comic books! I think you'll really get a kick out of the Avengers."
