Tonks let out a breath she hadn't realised she'd been holding. Thank Merlin. That wasn't so bad - maybe her mum would just accept the story at face value and not bother thinking too hard about it.
"Thanks are definitely in order," she assured her mother, and she looked at Bill. "From me, too. Thank you." She'd give him a proper thanks later though, considering it wouldn't be terribly appropriate in front of her mother.
"I have a concussion, but the healer fixed up the back of my head, and I just have to take it easy for a bit. No long-term damage, and she gave me a pain potion. Sitting up is a problem right now, and my head still hurts, but I suspect that'll go away soon enough." This wasn't exactly her first concussion. "I'm allowed to go home soon, too, as soon as the healer clears me."
