Bill had done his best to wait patiently. Really, he had. He had eventually gotten up out of the highly uncomfortable chair and started to pace around the waiting room, his head snapping up every time he heard the nearby door open to see if it was the Healer or one of the mediwizards that had taken her back to be seen.
He finally stopped pacing when a woman came through the door and had immediately caught his gaze when he looked up. The worry must have been written all over his face as she immediately smiled at him to put him at ease. "She's fine. She's awake now, would you like to go see her?"
Bill let out a sigh of relief that he hadn't realized he'd been holding in and nodded, "Yes...thank you." She silently ushered him through a pair of double doors and led him down a small hallway, then stopped just outside of Tonks' room. "Through there."
Bill nodded at her and took a deep breath, his nerves still slightly on edge after everything that had happened that morning. Finally, he pushed the door open...only to have nothing more than the desire to turn on his heel and head back out of the room once he'd stepped into it and saw Andromeda standing at her daughter's bedside. Shit. Well. Nothing he could do about it now.
"Hi..." he said, a sheepish smile on his face. His gaze flickered down to Tonks, to make sure she really was okay, then he looked back to Andromeda. What on earth was he supposed to say in this situation?
