If someone had told Tonks a week ago that this would happen, she would've likely done the exact same thing. It was mad to think they'd jumped back into things as they had, and she knew the honeymoon period would wear off eventually. But right now, she wanted nothing more than to enjoy being with Bill. Screw society's standards. If they wanted to rekindle things with a vengeance, then they had every bloody right, especially when it both made them so damn happy.
She caught her breath and ran her hand down his chest, flashing him an impish grin. "Is that a promise?" she teased. "Because I think that might be one of the very few things that could make this day even better than it already is."
Giving him another kiss, she twisted around to grab the shampoo. "Speaking of lunch breaks, if I'm not in my cubicle in twenty minutes, Scrimgeour's going to--shit!"
Somewhere in the process of turning, her foot had slipped out from underneath her. With her body as slick as it was from the water, she fell backward, and the back of her head hit the shower nozzle with a dull crack. Her body slumped, her eyes fell shut, and blood trickled down her neck, mixing with the water and turning pink as it swirled around the drain. She was out cold.
