Sofiya had said she wasn't going to attend, had waited until the last minute before dressing and activating the portkey. Mandy and Terry had been her friends, she had known them since she was a tiny scared girl of 11 and not showing up to support Mandy on the day of Terry's memorial was nearly inconceivable to her.
Dressed in a black skirt and a thick wool jumper, Sofiya stood off to the side with her arms wrapped around herself. She wasn't keen on seeing anyone especially Lavender and hoped that everyone was too wrapped up in their grief to continue petty arguments.
Listening to the murmur of the crowd around her, Sofiya was lost in her own thoughts of the past. She couldn't help the few tears that fell occasionally as she thought about the ridiculousness of the whole situation. Terry should still be alive and holding his children. The Ministry shouldn't be oppressing the people it was meant to protect. Sofiya stared at the ocean and willed the moments away before she could return home.
