Robbie was entirely in his element. Granted they were in the women's section, and Alicia was already squirming behind him, but he soldiered on, sifting expertly through the racks, already knowing her size from the other shopping trips they'd taken. He was doing her a favour really. He tried not to look too much at her awful outfit, the sooner he could find her something the better.
Being tall himself, he knew the difficulties in finding something that fit well, but he had tricks, and weren't they at an advantage being wizards? Shop in a Muggle store, and then even if it doesn't fit, use a few well-practiced tailoring spells and you'd have clothes that fit perfectly.
He was grateful of their friendship, really. Alicia made him smile at a time when he could so easily get bogged down in the nastiness of the politics he worked in, worrying about Death Eaters and supporters lurking around every corner. After this week, he had especially welcomed dragging Alicia out on a shopping trip. He needed to get out of the office, away from the interrogations and the enquiries into the bombing and the death. No, shopping was relaxing, therapeutic, and if he could manage to get Alicia into something resembling fashionable, it would be a positive day.
Glancing back at her with a raised eyebrow, he looked at the floaty fabric beneath his fingertips a little more closely and rolled his eyes as he realised that there were, in fact, flowers on it. "Okay, fine. Not this one," he said, lifting another hanger off the rack and holding the light pink shirt up for her approval. "No flowers," he lilted, his eyebrows lifting hopefully and a smile spreading on his face. It was a stretch - it was pink - but his theory was to start off with the very worst, to hopefully work his way to getting her to agree on something.
