Lavender felt her shoulders tense, defensive, but she knew he was right. She was just too drunk to care. Or she was too drunk to know how to handle it properly. "How the hell does that come up? Oh by the way, I've been shagging my ex? You don't know me either- I'm not the little virginal innocent girl that I was. I'm sure as hell no Astoria." The name tasted bitter her in mouth, moreso when she realized that Isaac had been honest with her about Astoria and she'd done nothing but hide Michael. "I should have told you, you're right. Although considering I maintain that there is nothing going on with Michael I don't know how I would have thought to 'warn' you. Do you remember what happened when you just found out that my friend was a male?" She shook her head and took a step back, wanting to put more space between them. "You were more correct then than you are now. You shouldn't be here. You should be with her." It wasn't self depricating, it was the truth. Everything he'd accused her of was true, she had been with Michael the morning he took her.
As he pulled her into the kiss she didn't know what to think or feel. She returned it but the guilt that was all too familiar washed over her again. His question, however, snapped her mood again and she looked at him, angry and frustrated immediately.
"I'm not like that Isaac! I don't do that shit! Merlin, are you serious?!" she should have been more understanding, he was being understanding, but she hated the accusation so much.
