WHO: Robert Stebbins and Padma Patil WHEN: Friday, 8th April, lunchtime WHERE: Ministry cafeteria WHAT: An encounter between Ministry employees
Robbie's chin was lifted high as he walked the halls of Level One of the Ministry of Magic, his robes swishing importantly as he headed towards the lift to take him to the cafeteria. He was feeling particularly proud of himself, due to his recent promotion and the informative dinner with Diggory and Zacharias yesterday. Thankfully the investigations and interrogations into the bombing, and escape of Terry Boot, exactly a week ago were winding down in their fervour. They were still doing their very best to find out who the culprits were, but the Minister's office was abuzz with the official formation of the Magical Army of Britain. Finally, were Robbie's thoughts on the matter. If he wasn't sure he was doing just as an important job working with the Minister, he would have joined up himself.
As he exited the lift onto the level of the cafeteria, a pale violet flying paper aeroplane swept into his hands and he unfolded it as he walked. The memo was from someone in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, discussing the details of the recruitment process for the MAB. He rounded the corner into the cafeteria, paused at an empty table near the entrance to scribble back a note onto the memo, before folding it up and flicking his wrist so that it launched into the air and away, zooming back the way he had come, towards the lifts.
The cafeteria was quite busy, it was the lunch hour, but standing taller than nearly everyone made it easy for him to cut across the room to the serving area, politely squeezing past people and calling a few hellos to other Ministry employees he knew. Robbie collected a tray from the stack and joined the queue for the lunches, peering at the selection through the glass. As someone joined the queue behind him, he pushed his tray further on and nodded his head in greeting.
